Frequently Asked Questions

Delta Force Paintball FAQs cover common questions about game formats, safety rules, age limits, and booking details. They help players understand what to expect on game day, what equipment is provided, and how to prepare for the best paintball experience.

Why Choose Delta Force Paintball Australia?

With over 35 years of global experience and an unblemished safety record, Delta Force Paintball is the world’s largest and most trusted provider. From our humble beginnings to becoming a global leader, we set the industry standard for excellence at every one of our premier Australian locations.

  • Movie-Quality Game Zones: Every Delta Force centre features immersive, large-scale scenarios—from iconic ancient pyramids and “Tomb Raider” setups to high-stakes urban “London Bus” game zones. Our fields are designed to transport you into the heart of the action.
  • Superior Safety Equipment: We are the only provider in Australia to issue bespoke body armour and full-head goggle systems to all players as standard. Combined with our .50 calibre technology, we provide the highest level of protection in the industry.
  • MiniBall for Younger Recruits: We are proud to offer MiniBall (ages 8+) across Australia, with our NSW centres joining the ranks on January 31st, 2026. This ensures even the youngest players can enjoy a safe, spring-powered introduction to the sport.
  • Professional Marshalling: Our staff are highly trained professionals who act as active referees, ensuring every game is fair, safe, and high-energy for players of all experience levels.
  • Fully Regulated & Accredited: We operate fully licensed facilities nationwide that meet all state regulations and safety protocols, guaranteeing a world-class adventure from start to finish.
  • Versatile Events: Whether you are hosting a corporate team-building event, a buck’s or hen’s party, or a children’s birthday, we provide a premium experience tailored to your group’s specific needs.

Yes! We welcome walk-on players at all Delta Force Paintball locations across Australia. If you drop in, our staff will aim to match you with an existing group so you can get straight into the action.

To ensure you have the best experience on the day, we recommend the following:

  • Check Daily Availability: Before you head out, give our national booking office a quick call on 1300 850 744. We can confirm the best arrival times for your local centre and ensure there are no private events currently occupying the game zones.

  • Peak Weekend Tips: Saturdays and Sundays are our busiest days. We prioritize players with existing bookings, so calling ahead helps you avoid a potential wait in the base camp for the next available session.

  • MiniBall Equipment (Ages 8+): If you are interested in MiniBall, pre-booking is essential. Because this version of the game uses specialized, lightweight equipment, sets are limited at each location. We currently offer MiniBall at our Canberra, Perth, Melbourne, and Brisbane locations, with two more venues launching MiniBall on 1st February 2026 in NSW.

  • National Pro-Tip: Most players at Delta Force book in advance to secure their preferred time slots. A quick phone call before you leave home ensures that we have gear ready and a session waiting for you the moment you arrive!

No. While the group Organiser typically secures the date with an initial booking, we can often arrange for individual players to pay for their own packs. Please speak with our event coordinators at 1300 785 766 to discuss the best way to manage your group’s payments.

Yes. All players are required to complete an online registration form before they arrive at the centre.

  • Under 16s: Players under 16 must have their form signed by a parent or guardian.

  • Group Tip: We recommend sending the registration link to your entire group with your invitations or by creating a group chat to ensure a fast check-in.

  • Accessing the Link: Please ask your event coordinator for your unique group link when finalizing your booking.

At Delta Force Paintball, we cater to groups of all sizes! Whether you are coming alone or bringing a small squad, you can always get in on the action.

  • No Minimum Group Size: There is no minimum number of players required to play. If you have a small group, we will simply team you up with other players to form a full game session, making for an even more exciting experience.

  • Dedicated Teams (20+ Players): If you have a group of 20 or more players, you can form your own dedicated team to play together throughout the day.

  • Private Games (40+ Players): To secure a Private Game—which grants your group exclusive use of the game zones without other players joined in—we generally require a minimum of 40 players.

  • National Pro-Tip: If you are aiming for a private game but are just short on numbers, give our national booking office a call on 1300 850 744. We can discuss availability and help you find the best session to suit your group’s needs.

At Delta Force Paintball, there is no strict minimum or maximum number of players required to book; we welcome everything from solo players to large corporate groups. However, your group size determines how your session is structured:

  • Small Groups & Individuals: Any group size is fine! If you have a small group, we will simply join you with other players of a similar age and ability to ensure a high-energy, competitive atmosphere.

  • Forming Your Own Team: If you bring 20 or more players, you will have enough recruits to form your own dedicated team to play against other groups on the day.

  • Private Game Requirements: To secure an exclusive Private Game (where your group plays alone on the game zones with your own dedicated marshals), a minimum of 40 prepaid players is required.

  • Centre Opening Minimums: While we accept all group sizes, please note that a minimum total number of players across all bookings is required to open the centre on a specific day. If no other groups are booked in for your requested time, our event coordinators will discuss alternative dates or times with you.

Pro-Tip for Organisers: You can make your booking now for the players you have 100% confirmed. You are welcome to add additional players to your booking up until a few days before your event, subject to availability.

While we occasionally accept last-minute bookings, we highly recommend booking at least 10–14 days in advance, especially for Saturdays and Sundays, which frequently sell out.

Yes! We recommend booking for your minimum confirmed players as early as possible. Our centres are the most popular in the country, and session spots fill up quickly—especially on weekends.

  • Secure Your Date: Booking for your core group now ensures you don’t miss out on your desired date and session time. It’s better to lock in a slot for 10 people now than to wait for 20 and find the day is fully booked.

  • Add Players Later: You are welcome to add more players to your booking up until a few days before your event. Simply call our national coordination team to check availability, and we will do our best to accommodate the extra recruits.

  • Stress-Free Planning: Don’t let a few “maybe” responses hold up the entire group. Locking in the confirmed players now officially starts the countdown to game day and often encourages the “maybes” to commit!

  • National Pro-Tip: Demand for our game zones is high nationwide. We suggest booking for your “definites” today, then sending a “final call” to the rest of your group once the date is officially locked in. You can manage the additions with a quick call to 1300 850 744.

The minimum age to play paintball in Australia varies by state due to local government regulations. To help more “young guns” get in on the action, Delta Force Paintball offers two formats: Standard .50 Calibre Paintball and MiniBall.

Minimum Age by State

State

Standard Paintball

MiniBall (Ages 8+)

ACT 16+ Years 8+ Years
NSW 12+ Years 8+ Years (Launching 31st Jan 2026)
QLD 15+ Years 8+ Years
VIC 16+ Years 8+ Years
WA 12+ Years 8+ Years
SA 10+ Years* N/A

*South Australia: Our affiliate centre policy requires at least one parent to be present for groups aged 10–16.

Choosing the Right Experience:

  • MiniBall (Ages 8+): This is our most popular option for younger children. It uses smaller, spring-powered markers, making it a fantastic low-impact introduction to the sport.

  • Standard Paintball: Once players reach the state-regulated age, they can graduate to our standard .50 calibre paintball technology.

  • Parental Consent: Please note that all players under the age of 18 must have a parental consent form signed before they can take to the field.

  • National Pro-Tip: Planning a birthday for an 8th, 9th, or 10th birthday? MiniBall is specifically designed for this age group! Give our national booking office a call on 1300 850 744 to check availability at your nearest centre.

We want every “young gun” at our centres to have a world-class experience. We take great care in managing our player groupings to ensure the games are fun, fair, and safe for everyone.

  • Age-Appropriate Matchmaking: Our standard practice is to separate children and adult groups to ensure a balanced competitive environment. We make every effort to match your group with players of a similar age and ability level.

  • Family Groups: You may see adults on the field during a youth session if they are parents, guardians, or older siblings participating as part of the same booking. We find that many parents love getting in on the action and sharing the experience with their kids!

  • Professional Marshalling: All games are managed by our highly trained marshals who act as active referees. They ensure that all players—regardless of age—follow safety protocols and that the gameplay remains fair and exciting for everyone.

  • MiniBall (Ages 8+): For our youngest recruits, MiniBall sessions are specifically tailored to children. This is the perfect way to ensure your child plays exclusively with their peers in a highly controlled setting.

    • Note: MiniBall is currently available in Melbourne, Canberra, Perth, and Brisbane, and will be launching in NSW on January 31st, 2026!

  • National Pro-Tip: If you are organizing a youth birthday party and want to know more about the other groups booked for your session, give our team a call on 1300 850 744. We can help you choose the best session time for your group’s age bracket.

There is no way of knowing how many paintballs any individual will use, as it depends on how trigger-happy you are. It is entirely up to each person how many paintballs they want to use but a good indication is about 200 paintballs per game zone. You can decide how many game zones you play and further paintballs are available to purchase on the day at your discretion.

All prepayments and paintball allocations are non-refundable and non-transferable. If a player fails to attend on your scheduled date, their individual prepayment and paintball credits are forfeited and cannot be used by other members of the group.

Why this policy exists: We staff our centres and prepare equipment based on your confirmed player count. To ensure you have the best experience, we recommend only prepaying for players who have 100% confirmed their attendance. You can always add more players to your booking up until a few days before your event.

Yes! Paintball is an all-weather outdoor sport, and our sessions proceed in almost all weather conditions. Many players find that a bit of rain adds an extra layer of tactical challenge and excitement to the bush-terrain game zones.

Our centres are fully equipped to ensure your group has a world-class experience, regardless of the elements:

  • Sheltered Base Camp: Every Delta Force location features a large, undercover base camp designed to keep your group dry and comfortable between missions.

  • Secure Lockers: We provide on-site lockers at all centres to ensure your dry clothes, electronics, and valuables remain protected while you are on the field.

  • Weather & Safety Policy: Cancellations are extremely rare. A session will only be postponed if the Centre Manager deems conditions (such as lightning or extreme winds) unsafe for players or staff.

  • Cancellation Policy: In the unlikely event that a session cannot proceed due to extreme weather, safety concerns, or “Force Majeure Events” (circumstances beyond reasonable human control), Delta Force Paintball  reserves the right to issue a full-value credit for the booking instead of a refund. This credit will be valid for a future booking and may be used by the original customer or transferred to another person, subject to availability.

  • National Pro-Tip: If rain is forecast for your session, we recommend bringing a towel and a spare change of clothes to leave in your car. This ensures a comfortable and dry journey home after the action!

Yes. Free on-site parking is available, though spaces can be limited during peak periods. We strongly recommend carpooling where possible.

To provide the most flexibility for your group, we offer both morning and afternoon sessions at our centres nationwide.

  • Seasonal Scheduling: Our specific session times vary throughout the year to make the most of the available daylight and local weather conditions.

  • Session Length: A typical session lasts several hours, allowing your group to play through multiple themed game zones.

  • Check Your Date: Because operating hours can vary by location and season, we recommend contacting our national booking office on 1300 850 744 to confirm the exact start times for your chosen date.

  • National Pro-Tip: We recommend arriving at least 15–30 minutes before your scheduled start time. This ensures your group has plenty of time for registration, gear fitting, and the essential safety briefing so you don’t miss a minute of the action!

To ensure your session starts on time, we provide several tools to help you locate our entrances easily. Because many of our centres are located in large bushland or rural settings, standard GPS coordinates can sometimes be slightly off. We recommend the following steps:

  • Search for the Brand Directly: If you are using Google Maps or Apple Maps, searching for the specific centre name (e.g., “Delta Force Paintball Petrie” or “Delta Force Paintball Appin”) is significantly more accurate than entering a street address alone.

  • Use Your Booking Confirmation: Upon booking, you will receive a confirmation email containing a detailed map and specific directions. We strongly recommend sharing this PDF with every driver in your group before you set off.

  • Sat Nav Caution: While GPS is helpful, woodland entrances can be discreet. Please cross-reference your Sat Nav with our specific directions to ensure you reach the correct gate.

  • Live Support: If you are struggling to find us on the day, please call our national support team on 1300 850 744. Our team can provide immediate guidance to ensure you reach the car park safely.

  • National Pro-Tip: Aim to arrive at the centre 20–30 minutes before your scheduled start time. This allows for unexpected traffic or road closures and ensures your group doesn’t miss the compulsory safety briefing. If you miss the briefing, your game time may be delayed!

From the moment you arrive, our team ensures your experience is professional, safe, and high-energy. A typical session follows this itinerary:

  • Arrival & Registration: You will be greeted by our friendly staff for check-in. To ensure a fast-track entry, please ensure all players have completed their online registration forms before arriving at the centre.

  • Kitting Up: Once checked in, you will be issued with your professional-grade gear, including your full-head goggle system, bespoke body armour, and full-body combat suit.

  • Compulsory Safety Briefing: Before the action begins, all players must attend a professional safety briefing. This covers equipment handling, game zone rules, and our strict safety protocols.

  • The Action Starts: You will head out to our themed game zones to play 4–6 varied games per session. Each game features a different objective to test your team’s strategy and skill.

Delta Force Paintball operates world-class venues across Australia. Each centre is strategically located to be accessible from major CBDs and regional hubs.

Finding Your Location: We recommend group organisers visit our website to find the exact address and download detailed directions for their chosen centre. For GPS users, searching for the specific centre name (e.g., “Delta Force Paintball Sydney”) directly in Google Maps is the most reliable method.

While spectators are not permitted on the active field for safety reasons, our base camp features sheltered seating where parents and friends can relax and meet players during breaks.

No. Delta Force Paintball operates a strict zero-alcohol policy at all our centres nationwide to ensure the safety of all players and staff.

To ensure a safe environment for everyone, please note:

  • No Alcohol On-Site: Alcohol is strictly prohibited at our centres, including in the base camp and car park areas.

  • Sobriety Policy: Any player found to be under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances will be excluded from play immediately.

  • No Refunds: In the interest of safety, anyone asked to leave the premises due to intoxication will not be eligible for a refund.

  • National Pro-Tip: We recommend saving the celebrations for after your session! There are many great local venues near our centres where you can enjoy a drink once the gear is handed back and the games are over.

Yes! We provide the perfect space for your group to refuel and celebrate at all our national locations. Whether you are hosting a birthday party or a corporate team-building day, here is how to plan your “HQ” lunch:

  • Undercover Base Camp: Every Delta Force centre features a large, sheltered base camp with ample picnic-style seating. This area serves as your home base where you can relax, eat, and talk tactics between missions.

  • BYO Food & Hydration: We encourage all recruits to bring their own packed lunches and plenty of water. Paintball can be physically demanding, so staying hydrated is essential for a great day on the field.

  • Birthday Cakes & Celebrations: Planning a birthday? You are more than welcome to bring a cake! Our base camp is the ideal spot to celebrate and sing “Happy Birthday” after the games.

  • On-Site Refreshments: If you need a quick energy boost, our on-site kiosk stocks cold drinks, chips, and chocolates to keep you going between missions.

  • Catering & Delivery: While Delta Force does not provide on-site catering, you are welcome to organize an external delivery (such as pizza). Please ensure you are ready to meet the driver at the main entrance, as many of our venues are located in bushland areas.

  • National Pro-Tip: We recommend having light snacks during game breaks and saving your main lunch for after your final mission. This ensures everyone stays light on their feet and performs their best on the field!

A typical day is divided into two sessions:

  • Morning Session: Approx. 10:00 am – 1:00 pm (Winter: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm)

  • Afternoon Session: Approx. 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm (Winter: 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm) Expect to play 4–6 varied game zones during your session, with refreshment breaks in between.

Expect to be at the centre for approximately 3 to 4 hours. This includes your arrival, kit-up, safety briefing, and roughly 6 varied game with refreshment breaks.

Please contact our booking office for more details.

Staying fueled is the key to a great day of paintball! Here is how you can plan your meals at any of our national locations:

  • On-site Kiosk: Our base camp shop is stocked with a variety of snacks, including chocolates and crisps, along with a range of cold drinks to keep you hydrated between games.

  • BYO Food & Drink: We encourage all groups to bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages. Every Delta Force base camp offers ample undercover seating and picnic tables for your group to relax and refuel.

  • External Catering & Delivery: Delta Force Paintball does not provide on-site catering. You are welcome to organize your own external food delivery (such as pizza) to the centre.

    • Note: As many of our centres are located in beautiful bushland settings, please ensure you provide the delivery driver with clear instructions and are prepared to meet them at the main entrance.

  • National Pro-Tip: Most of our players bring a portable cooler with sandwiches, fruit, and sports drinks. It’s the best way to ensure your troop stays energized for the full session without having to leave the base camp!

For the best safety and comfort, we recommend the following:

  • Footwear: Sturdy, closed-toe shoes or boots with good ankle support are highly recommended. Old trainers/sneakers are also suitable. No sandals or flip-flops are permitted.

  • Clothing: Wear light, breathable “old” clothes (like a t-shirt and gym shorts/leggings) underneath the combat suit we provide.

  • Extras: We also recommend a change of clothes and a towel for after the game.

  • Payment: We accept credit/debit cards and cash for purchasing extra paintballs, snacks, or optional upgrades like gloves and groin guards.

Note: Professional safety equipment—including full-head goggles, body armour, and a combat suit with a padded collar—is included in your admission.

Yes! You are welcome to bring your own gear to Delta Force Paintball; however, all equipment is subject to the final approval and discretion of the Centre Manager.

Paintball Markers

To use your own marker, it must meet the following criteria and be cleared by the Centre Manager:

  • Licensing: You must hold a valid state-specific Paintball Marker Permit (or equivalent interstate license).

  • Calibre & Speed: We exclusively use .50 Calibre markers. Your equipment must pass a chronograph test on-site to ensure it fires below 300 FPS.

  • Air Systems: For safety reasons, we do not allow customers to bring their own gas cylinders on-site for any reason. Your marker must be compatible with Delta Force air bottles (3000 PSI), which our marshals refill every 30 minutes.

Goggles & Suits

You may use your own paintball-specific goggles and combat suits, provided they have not been modified in any way and pass a safety inspection by our team upon arrival.

Paintballs

For health, safety, and environmental reasons, only paintballs issued by Delta Force on the day of your event may be used. External paintballs are strictly prohibited.

Base Camp Safety

We operate a strict “No Markers in Base Camp” policy. When not in active play, your equipment must remain safely racked in our designated Gun Zone.

No. For safety and environmental reasons, only paintballs supplied by Delta Force Paintball on the day of your event are permitted for use at our centres.

To maintain our high standards, we enforce the following policies:

  • Environmental Protection: Our centres are often located in pristine bushland settings. We are strictly committed to using only high-quality, fully biodegradable paintballs that are safe for the local ecosystem.

  • Impact Safety: We ensure our paintballs are stored in climate-controlled conditions so they remain “frangible” (meaning they break easily on impact). External paintballs can become brittle or dangerously hard if stored incorrectly, posing a significant safety risk to other players.

  • No “Bring Backs”: To maintain our safety guarantee, paintballs that have been taken off-site cannot be brought back for future use. Once paint leaves our controlled environment, we can no longer verify its quality or safety.

  • National Pro-Tip: All Delta Force centres across Australia use specialized .50 calibre low-impact markers. Using our site-issued paintballs ensures your gear performs at its best with the correct calibre for a smoother, more accurate game.

At Delta Force Paintball, your comfort and safety are our highest priorities. While you may feel a slight “sting” similar to a quick flick of a rubber band, our industry-leading safety gear is specifically designed to minimize impact and maximize fun.

To ensure a comfortable and safe experience for every player, we provide:

  • .50 Calibre Technology: We use a smaller, lighter calibre of paintball. This reduces impact energy by 60% compared to traditional paintball centres, making the game much more approachable for everyone.

  • Bespoke Body Armour: Our custom-designed plates protect the torso, significantly absorbing the feel of any impact.

  • Full-Body Combat Suits: These durable suits feature integrated padded neck collars for extra protection in sensitive areas.

  • Full-Head Goggle Systems: Unlike standard goggles, our systems wrap entirely around the head, providing 360-degree protection for the ears, temples, and face.

  • Professional Marshalling: Our marshals strictly enforce a “distance rule” on the field, ensuring no one is shot from close range.

  • National Pro-Tip: We recommend wearing loose, breathable clothing underneath your combat suit. This adds an extra buffer and allows for full range of motion. For those wanting maximum protection, armoured gloves are available at our on-site kiosks to protect your hands.

Yes, paintball is extremely safe at Delta Force Paintball. We maintain a 100% safety record through strict safety protocols, including:

  • Full-head goggles with a wrap-around system to protect the ears.
  • Custom-designed body armour issued to all players as standard.
  • Highly trained professional marshals who supervise every game and enforce “no-fire” zones.

We also offer MiniBall (Ages 8–15)

Specially designed for younger players to enjoy the same movie-quality game zones with extra comfort:

  • Low Impact: Spring loaded markers for a softer hit.

  • Lightweight Gear: Smaller combat suits tailored for kids.

  • Non-Stop Action: Includes unlimited ammo.

  • Current Locations: MiniBall is currently available at our centres in Melbourne, Canberra, Perth, and Brisbane.

  • Coming Soon: We are excited to announce that MiniBall will be launching at our NSW locations on January 31st, 2026!

While the activity is supervised, we recommend parents ensure their child is mature enough to follow safety instructions. Still have questions? speak to our event coordinators at 1300 850 744 for more details.

No. There are no strict height or weight restrictions to play at Delta Force Paintball. We aim to make paintball accessible to everyone; however, players should consider the following:

  • Equipment & Sizing: Our combat suits and padded body armour are highly adjustable. We stock a wide range of sizes to ensure a comfortable and secure fit for most body types.

  • Physical Requirements: Players must be able to move independently and safely through uneven bushland terrain. The game involves walking, crouching, and navigating natural trails and obstacles.

  • Goggle Fit: Our full-head safety goggles are adjustable and designed to fit comfortably on most head sizes. If you wear glasses, our goggles are specifically designed to fit over most frames.

  • National Pro-Tip: If you have specific concerns regarding sizing or physical accessibility, please contact our national booking office on 1300 850 744. Our coordinators are happy to discuss your requirements to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable day on the field.
